The Okanagan Motorcycle Riders Association (OMRA) presented cheques to both the  Oosoyoos Food Bank and the Oliver Knights of Columbus Christmas Food Hamper.  The presentations took place at the Osoyoos Credit Union.  We gave donations to various charities throughout the South Okanagan.  The money is raised through a number of events hosted by OMRA, including a poker run and dance.  We also fund raise through the Oliver Rodeo and the Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society (which helps children with learning disabilities.  The  Ladies Motorcycle Run also raises money for breast cancer research.  The Osoyoos Credit Union (OUC) gets involved with OMRA each year during their motorcyle raffle tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the Credit Union for the chance to win a motorcycle, which is usually displayed in OCU's front window.  Raffle tickets go on sale December 17th.For $20 .00 ticket or (three for 50 ), people have the chance to win the motorcycle.  There is also an early bird draw for a scooter.  Draw dates are April 16 and February 14 for the early bird draw.
